SELECTED EXPERIENCE

TOMATO OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION & MARKET ACCESS DEFENSE

During a Salmonella outbreak investigation affecting tomato exports from Sinaloa, I integrated epidemiological, microbiological, environmental, and traceability evidence to determine the origin of the implicated strain. The analysis demonstrated that the outbreak strain was not linked to Sinaloa, supporting the technical defense of the region before health and agricultural authorities.

FDA IMPORT ALERT, RECALL & CORRECTIVE ACTION RESPONSE

I have led technical and regulatory responses to FDA import alerts, recalls, and contamination events by coordinating root cause investigations, traceability reviews, laboratory evidence, and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans. My work focuses on correcting the underlying system, producing defensible evidence, and guiding the actions required to protect or recover market access.

LABORATORY SYSTEMS, METHOD IMPLEMENTATION & DEFENSIBLE EVIDENCE

I have designed and established food microbiology laboratories, implemented, transferred, and verified analytical methods, and built the quality-control, documentation, and competency systems required for reliable operation and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation readiness. My work has included molecular and microbiological characterization, laboratory certification processes, and the production of defensible evidence for outbreak investigations, regulatory decisions, and market access.

TRACEABILITY, FOOD SAFETY SYSTEMS & OPERATIONAL CONTROL

I have designed and strengthened end-to-end traceability, food safety management, and operational control systems across suppliers, production, storage, and distribution. This work includes mapping product and process flows, clarifying responsibilities, strengthening verification and training, and aligning real operations with FSMA, regulatory, and certification requirements to prevent recurrence, protect market access, and support business continuity.
